We are sure that Aleksotas innovation park is another opportunity for the rapid development of life sciences in Kaunas. A strong community of practitioners, scientists, researchers, and life science startups are united by Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Health innovations are our strong suit. We welcome the new and ambitious innovation park and hope that together we can build a creative, healthy and safe Kaunas city, region and the entire country that is constantly learning.

Aleksotas Innovation Park will without a doubt contribute to the business appeal of Kaunas. Strong universities will provide a talent pool and the largest hospital in the Baltic states as well as a historically strong engineering base will attract health science businesses to the park. The park location is perfect for not only working with institutions in Kaunas but also great for exporting goods made here. Aleksotas is just a few kilometres away from the Kaunas centre and it’s a convenient point to reach not only the airport, but also the only non-freezing port in the Baltic States – Klaipėda. Kaunas will become a transport hub on the “Rail Baltica” railway line, which will connect Helsinki with Western Europe, allowing businesses in the park to export their products even more efficiently. The Investor Evaluation Commission will ensure that only innovative companies that prioritise partnerships amongst business and science settle in Aleksotas. These companies will act as a catalyst creating high added value, contributing to the acceleration of Lithuanian productivity and economic growth.

Kaunas has been and remains an academic city. We have almost every possible study programme in our institutions of higher education. Many young people study, live and work here. After graduation, highly qualified professionals will find well-paid jobs and even more reasons to build their futures here. While Kaunas was considered an industrial city, it has been dominated by technology and health sciences for some time now. The new ALEX Kaunas Innovation Park will reinforce this progress, boosting the economic development of the whole region and attracting investment capital and talent from all over Lithuania and abroad.
