Kaunas is a city of growing talents, a leader of engineering and technological sciences in Lithuania: 8 thousand students study here (in addition to IT students). 

In total, 7 universities and their departments, 6 colleges and 9 professional schools operate in Kaunas: 51 % of their students have chosen technological, natural and health sciences. 85 % of young urban professionals speak English fluently.

It is not by chance that Kaunas is ranked in top places when it comes to readiness for innovation in the Central and Eastern European.

Kaunas innovation ecosystem is built by the synergy of business and scientific centres operating here: Kaunas Free Economic Zone, which attracts large, mixed-industry companies and higher education institutions that manage and develop startup incubators (KTU Startup Space, LSMU Innovation Centre, VDU KTPC, Kaunas MTP).
